CONSTRUCTION OF MENANG-DOTOM AND NKRANFO NKWANTA -HWIDIEM ROADS IN THE NEW EDUBIASE BEGINS

Government begins the construction of Menang-Dotom and Nkranfo Nkwanta -Hwidiem roads in the new Edusaise constituency

Through the hard work and the enviable lobbying skills of the Member of Parliament for New Edubiase Constituency, Hon George Boahen Oduro, the government of Ghana through the Road and Transport Ministry has released funds for the construction of two major roads in the New Edubiase Constituency of Ashanti region. The two roads which are from Menang Junction through SamanKrom to Subin Camp and from Nkranfo Nkwanta, Bepoase to Hwidiem totaling about 35km are to be completed within five months, the contractor told the Adansiman News Agency.

He said he will use only one month for the construction of a few bridges and drains and complete the entire project within five months, as was agreed in their contract with the road ministry.

On a phone conversation with the member of parliament for New Edubiase Constituency who is also the Deputy minister of Agriculture in charge of crops, he said the two roads and it's completion will make him proud since it forms part of his social contract with the people of the area in the 2016 elections. He reiterated rural electrification is the next agenda to hit the district and about 100 small communities in the constituency have been cited.

The minister is the first MP in the ticket of the ruling NPP government to win the controversial New Edubiase seat since 1992.
