Upon the recent visit to Adansi Amonorkrom, a suburb in Adansi Asokwa constituency, by the media team of Voice of Adansiman (Home & Abroad), the people of Amonorkrom has accepted to get along with the organization as a gateway for their voices to be heard about challenges facing the Community.
The community youth leader, Mr. Enock Dawutey, who made the declaration in a video recording over the weekend during the fanbase first meeting commended Voice of Adansiman (VOA) for their massive efforts in ensuring that the voices of the people are heard to draw the attention of stakeholders to come to their aid in times of challenges.
He, therefore, assured the media of Voice of Adansiman, Fos Publishers, their commitments to help achieve the objectives of the organization.
As part of the Organization's mission and vision, Mr. Dawutey called on the various stakeholders including the government to come to their aid to rehabilitate the bad road network from Adansi Aboabo 1 to Fumso. The community which is in the Esrifikrom electoral area has almost all inhabitants being farmers. They cultivate cocoa, plantain, cassava, maize, palm, among other produce on a large scale. The Amonorkrom community also has a large forest reserve which provides some chain saw operators timber.
Mr. Dawutey lamented that during the raining seasons most of their farm produce gets stuck in their homes and farms as vehicles are not able to convey food stuff to the market due to the deplorable state of their road. This has been a major challenge to most farmers over decades now.
According to him, their farm products serve most towns and cities around them. Some of these are cape coast, Mankessim, New Edubiase, Obuasi, Kumasi etc. Market women from all over these places come to purchase foodstuff from their big market which is located in Fumso.
He further stated that if the roads are constructed it will attract most of the youth to engage in agriculture in the area.
