As part of Ghana’s 63rd Independence Celebrations, the organizers and the Barnet FC have confirmed Easter Saturday 11th April 2020, as the new date for the international game between the two top clubs from Ghana, Accra Hearts of Oak vs Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The Chief Executives of both Hearts and Kotoko are expected to arrive in London on April 9, 2020. The two clubs will be in the same plane together and arrive in London.
According Probal Int. Ltd, the organizers of the game, a Special Trophy as stake for the winner, of which the English FA has appointed match officials for the game with the kickoff time at 6:15pm in UK time, and 5:15pm in Ghana.
But the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised for the cancellation of the Kotoko vs Hearts Independence Day clash because of the threat of Coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health, last week advised that the London meeting is suspended because of the infection rate of the deadly Coronavirus.
The Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah is set to meet the organizers of the match as well as the GFA later this week.
