UDS Whips UCC in the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC), 2020 Edition

The Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) is an initiative of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) aimed at developing the cognitive growth of business students to build successful business careers in the future.
It is held on the theme: “Developing Business Minds – The Hot Seat.”
The maiden edition, held last year, brought together students from tertiary business schools to test their knowledge in various aspects of business courses.
The week-long inter-tertiary business quiz took place with 12 participating schools namely University for Development Studies (UDS), University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), University of Cape Coast (UCC), Wisconsin International University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Central University College (CUC), Methodist University College of Ghana, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), African University College of Communications (AUCC), Ghana Technology University College and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
The winners walked away with a trophy, cash prizes, certificates, laptops, life insurance, and scholarship packages as well as other souvenirs from sponsors of the competition. All other competing schools also received certificates and other consolation prizes.
The challenge was sponsored by the Ministry of Business Development and eight other corporate institutions.
The institutions included the Accra Brewery Ltd (ABL), BIC and the British Council. The rest were Passion Air, GLICO, the Fidelity Bank, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. YFM and Media General’s TV3 were media partners.
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) the emerged the ultimate winner of the maiden edition of the inter-tertiary business quiz knowns as Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) in the year 2019, with the University for Development Studies (UDS) and the University of Ghana Busines School (UGBS) consoled themselves with the second and third runners-up positions respectively.
The second edition of Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) 2020 has ended today 7th March, and the table has turned for the first and the second positions of the last year’s contest.
The inter-tertiary business quiz that took place this year 2020 with ten participating schools namely; University of Cape Coast (UCC), University for Development Studies (UDS), University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Accra Technical University (ATU), Radford University, AIT, All Nations University, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and Central University.
After several rounds of contest among the competing schools, the University for Development Studies has whipped the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the grand finale with 9 points ahead.
